United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

It happened again today so I drove it straight to the dealers, "all be it at an average speed of 20mph" Shocked The guy says it is an electrical probelm with the air suspension so it's booked in for next Tue Thumbs Up He said they would require it for 2 days so I asked him about a replacement car and he said they did not have one Confused I suppose it must be up to me to get in touch with Landrover Assist and ask them.

I also mentioned that I was driving to Austria next month and he asked if I knew about the law change last year with regards to winter tyres. Apparantly impound your car and fine of 2,000 euro if caught without them Shocked Spoke to dealer to find out about Winter tyres and he seems to think you can't get them for 20" rims so might need to buy the smaller wheels as well Mad

Yep, afraid so... although LRA are pretty good at arranging cars for you. Don't forget you need an equivalent car for "work purposes" Very Happy

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

Here we go again.

Just been informed by the garage that the car requires some major electrical work and apparently it all has to be hand built. They asked me if I had had the car looked at since I purchased it new, apparently the garage that the car was originally recovered to ended up doing more harm than good. Evil or Very Mad

The car has been in the garage since Tue and I have now been told I will not have it back in time for my trip to Austria on the 19 Dec Shocked . I have just spoken to LR Assist and told them that the E class rental Saloon I have presently will not be big enough for 5 people and our Snowboarding gear so they are trying to organise another 4x4 for me.

By the time I get the car back all told it would of spent in the region of 7 to 8 weeks in the garage being repaired, not a good track record for a 50 grand + car that is less than 9 months old Crying or Very sad .

Would people think it would be asking to much to expect some form complimentry gesture or indeed to be compensated for not only the loss of use but all the hassles I have had to endure Question

Just to give you an idea of the stuff that has happened, I have had to take time off work to get car to garage collect exchange vehicles etc as well as make god know how many phone calls I even ended up having to use taxis the first time it happened. On top of all this the first time it happened the recovery truck badly damaged two tyres and denied all knowledge saying it must have been the garage. The garage then suggested I had caused the damage while driving Twisted Evil Anyway the story went on and on and I was being told not only would I have to pay for the tyres I would also have to pay for the replacement vehicle as well. As you can imagine I was not a happy chap.

They have swopped the E class I had for a 4x4 VW Toureg complete with winter tyres Thumbs Up, so I'm not going to make a song and dance about complaining until I get back from Skiing as the Toureg fits the bill nicely.
