How to repair damaged front bumper

Some scrote has driven into the front bumper of my car while they were turning into a parking bay in the local NCP.
I don't know who it was and there were no signs of damage on the car that was parked in the bay next to me (an old style Red Nissan Micra ) so I suspect somebody pulled out again and reparked somewhere else. The damage isn't bad and is is more like surface scratches, not even enough to call Chipsaway out for. Any body any idea if the roughened plastic surface can be smoothed with T cut and then polished with coloured polish? Might even leave it as it is but it p*sses me off when it happens to a 12 day old car.

Just think Tim, Cindy Crawford made a career out of having a mole on her face so sometimes these things are all the better for a little imperfection here and there.

It's still a Censored though Sad Not sure what you can do with it - might be more effort to put right than it's actually worth. It might not be the last scratch you ever get either...

Some people just have no respect Mad probably drove off thinking well he can afford to repair it Censored s

I end up driving around sometimes for lower risk spaces - so annoying and with narrow spaces people don't give a Censored if they dink your sides either...

Thing is I ALWAYS go to the first level where there are no other cars parked, and the local NCP has extra wide slots beside the emergency exits which are a width and a half wide so I try to find one of them - obviously the scrote that did it had no idea how to park their car as I was in one of these extra wide slots when it happened....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It's like your alloys ........... you just get it repaired ........ when Ooops .. another scrape Sad

Best leave it for while - rather than rush into getting it fixed - I know your local car body paint specialist will charge £150 to do a proper job.

I reversed into a multistorey car park on the first weekend of owning mine... after I called myself a silly Censored a few times, it didn't really look so bad and I didn't end up dealing with it until I chopped the car in for my 535d.

Sorry to hear about your motor Tim.

Just be careful if you try to polish the marks out, some of the paint on those plastic bumpers can be a bit soft and don't take kindly to some abrasive types of polish. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. TB, I'm just going to leave it alone, it isn't too visible as the plastic underneath is a similar shade to Stornoway. It's just very annoying on a new car. Had it occurred off-road I wouldn't have minded so much! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Some T Censored er scraped down the side of mine while it was parked at a local retail park. Cost me £520 to get a small dent and scratch taken out of the drivers passenger door. And people wonder why I park in the mother & child bays..........

Now I park in the largest and safest spaces I can find. A pain in the arse but at least I dont worry about the damage I might find when I get back. TDV6 HSE 2007 model, Stornoway Grey, Ivory leather,Privacy glass, Premium ICE Pack, side steps, tasmod sills, now towbar and seat covers
