UPDATE - It Works !

OK - so I can now happily confirm that the software I have insatlled on my Nokia N95 [ see beginning of thread] works 100% OK in the RRS... I tried it today at the Coventry meet in Josh's RRS ... within less the a minute I had my full phonebook in his car over bluetooth Thumbs Up

MDP - I've just downloaded the contacts app to my N95 and started the app and it just says 'Processing' for ages - is this perhaps due to the 300 or so multiple contact entries stored on my phone? What exactly happened when you transferred your numbers over?

With a 2005 RRS - you may need to get the software/firmware update done on the bluetooth system at your local LR dealer

I had the same problem with my wifes n95 in her TT [ old software 2006 ] as my Audi is 2007 & works OK

The phone was tested at the last RRS meet in Cov in a new RRS and worked a treat ....

hope this helps Thumbs Up

I've already got the latest software/firmware update on my RRS. I get the 'Processing' message for ages even when I'm not even connected via Bluetooth to the car Bluetooth. How may contacts do you think you transferred over?

Not sure? but must be in the region of around 150 - 200 plus .... I get each contact with a seperate entry for mobile - home - business etc .... so even more entries when they appear on the RR Sports screen.

You could try " back up on PC " then add just one number to your phone ... try that out..... ? If that works with only one entry on your phone - you know its down to the size of your phone book entries. If not.. ??

It sounds as though the no. of entries shouldn't be an issue then - I'll give another try later and if not, as you suggested, just try with 1 entry.

Either that ...... or get your LR dealer to re-check the software / upgrade that they say they have done. The factory software upgrade is supposed to give you the same level of bluetooth connectivity as a new 08 model year or even the newly 08.5

I had the factory upgrade done about 2 weeks ago though so that was before the new TSB00095...29/10/07 bulletin.....DOH unlucky for me!!!! I tried the contacts push again but it still just hung - I will try with just one contact hopefully tonight......I really hope I can get this working as opposed to spending £100 or so for the stealer to update the Bluetooth again!

But if I've just recently had the RRS BT updated and my N95 is all up-to-date then surely this should be working as my RRS software version is probably the same as Josh's TDV8 is it now?
