OK so I appreciate that not many of you are keen to open the bonnet and admire your engine (because if you have a TDv6 you won't see very much there is so much of the engine encapsulated) but I would be interested to know from TDv8 owners if the plastic cover on your battery box will actually close fully. No matter what I do (and also the local non franchise Landy specialists) the cover just will not clip down. It's almost like the cover isn't meant for the car, it is the right shape but the snap locators to hold it down don't engage on anything on the body of the battery cover. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, the battery box and battery box lid are exactly the same on all RRS and Disco 3 models. So there shouldn't be any problems.

Have you checked to make sure no one has broken any of the clips during fitting / removal? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Will do, but it was one of the first things that the local specialists went to look for as all 3 D3's that they have have had the same problem! The cover on my v6 was a great fit 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, over here they get warped in the heat! Once you open them they will not sit again!!
And you can't just change the covers - you need to change the body too!!  Malaysia Boleh!

Cheers Bobby, must admit that it doesn't fit it isn't a huge thing and it cannot disappear when I drive as it would appear that the bonnet holds it down, it just looks a bit tatty when I open the bonnet and everything else is so neat and tidy and in it's place. Hey and I even have a FBH from delivery in this car It also seems to warm up much more quickly than the TDv6 did, not that that would be a problem in Malayasia! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes Tim. The cover won't fly away or anything but it sure defeats the purpose it was put there for in the first place.
Since its loose fitting now, dust and dirt gets in!  Malaysia Boleh!
