HI EVERYONE! my name is SEAN, i recently have just sold my lotus exige that i loved very much ... now the reason for this is i have been driving lotus cars for the last 7 years!!! and i suppose it is now time for a change i went to purchase a house (for renovation) the other week...and when i pulled up in the lotus the estate agent looked at me as if i was some sort of boy racer but... i still want a sporty looking car, i have decided it is going to be a range rover sport, i personally do like the h.s.t. stormer kit and this is my first question...
if i order a factory rrs for march 08, can i buy the hst kit without having it stealer, i mean dealer, fitted?
if so is there anywhere apart from the dealer that sells them?
and... any more advice about ordering a new car will be very much appreciated (import none import ect)

hi everyone...hi kam100, the local dealer has just quoted £35,500k for a base model with metalic paint? there is some companies on the net that say they can get me one for 33and half k (no met paint) but they are imports???

as post above, its the stormer kit i want. and i will probably put about 3k of spec on as well

Talking to the guys at Charles Hurst last Friday, I commented that they had an HST version in the car park - the sales team there said they were having a lot of problems getting the HST kits. It would appear that there is either big demand for then or that LR didn't expect it to be a big seller so didn't get in many kits!

I would say if you want an RRS that looks a bit different go for one in one of the less common colours rather than putting an HST kit onto it. From my own experience of owning a Giverny Green RRS, you get far more attention from owning a rarely seen colour than you get from having a bodykitted RRS. Go for something like Lucerne Green with Aspen and Ivory interior or Atacama Sand with Tan/ Ivory. For some reason people think that LR have started selling Limited Edition RRS's or that you have spent a bundle of ££££ and had an Autobiography paint job (which isn't available for RRS!). BTW Alaska White/ Chawton White suit RRS very well and are very very rare in the UK.
Also by putting an HST kit onto an RRS you are restricting your choice of colours as they are only available in 5 colours - Java Balck, Zermatt Silver, Rimini Red, Cairns Blue and Stornoway Grey. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Welcome to the forum, Sean... you'll be even more welcome if you don't choose to purchase the hideous HST kit. It ruins what is a great looking car To answer your questions: the HST kit (should you end up going for it) is a dealer fit only, you can no longer get this done at the factory.
