United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost
How much?

My motor has just come back from the dealers after a bit of warranty work. Damaged wire in the drivers seat harness resulting in no electric seats.

Whilst in there they carried out the usual "visual healthcheck" and claim that the front brake pads are approx 90% worn and the rears are between 70 & 80% worn. They asked if I wanted them changed and quoted a tad over £400 to carry out the work. Shocked

To ease the pain, they did explain that this included VAT. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Has anyone had their brake shoes replaced recently and if so how much did you pay? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

My dealer tried this old trick, I got a further 5k miles from mine.

In the end bought the same front pads for £30 and fitted them in 20 mins. Thumbs Up

Just done a search on ebay and I can get both front and rear pads for about £50 plus p+p.

Changing brake pads is not the hardest mechanical task in the world so how on earth do the dealers justify over £300 in labour charges. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Has anyone managed to track down carbon kevlar brake pads?

No dust, last longer, no brake fade. (at least that was my experience with Porterfield pads but they don't do RRS, just FFR). 2022 P440e AB
