Switzerland 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
First off road.....

.....experience with my RRS.

Swiss army tank training track. 10 cm of fresh snow, recent rain, coldish, 25 cars from freelander to FFRR, organized by my LR dealer
Kind of light off roading, lots of mud, river crossing etc. lots of fun. No car got damaged

My first off road experience after many years so I'm not top notch, but I can say one thing, the original equipment tires, Conti 275/40-13 are useless in those conditions, all the RRS had a bit of problems on snow and mud covered terrain.

But in all a great fun day. To do againg but with better tires. '08 RRS TDV8

When I did my LR experience the RRS was on standard tyres and I was amazed at what it could do, saying that proper mud tyres make a hell of a difference. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I believe the main problem for the tires was the snow and cold. '08 RRS TDV8

where was that? can anyone participate (against payment, maybe, since my landrover dealer apparently is too lazy to organize stuff like that :S), or could i just sneak on there when the tanks arn't there?

ps. i am actually in the swiss army now, maybe i could make an excuse about having to test a new scout vehicle Razz RRS SC Bonatti Grey

Greuzi Kuke, we where in Hinterrhein. It was organized by the LR dealer in Noranco, Ticino, all for free, the dealers have an obligation to organize a number of events every year.

In any case I asked and to use the track in Hinterrhein costs 300 Fr. per day. We are trying to have the dealer to organize more of this events, dividing the expenses between the participants, if something comes up I will let you know.

Perhaps ...by some brilliant but crazed Professor, working late in a lab one night, experimenting with Lightening on body parts recovered from the local morgue...
