Doggy tailgate

Why doesnt my soft close tailgate lock shut, is there some way of resetting it, as when i lock the doors the interior light stays on and the horn blows Question

Must be the lock / switch needs adjusting, or the switch just not working.
Does it actually feel like it is shut properly E or is there play in it?

no not shut properly, rattles. The dash just flashes "Tailgate open" should it have a bleep sensor to warn you its not shut, if so nope not working.

Is the soft close actually working? if it is it might be the catches want adjusting slightly.
