This is a true story,

I know a girl that was manageress in a shop, some years ago now they had the IT man in to install a computer. All set up straightforward. He left to receive a call from her, she needed a longer cable on the mouse as she couldn't get from one side of the screen to the other !!!! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Anyone who has worked in IT will have loads of these stories from times gone by, but this is a similar one:

When I was doing PC support back in the early 90s, we were rolling out PCs onto people's desks who up until that point only had experience of electric typewriters. It was a pretty quick desk dropping exercise... we were just putting them on the desks and powering them up and then floorwalkers would go around doing training. In doing this, looked across the partition at someone who'd got theirs on their desk but was complaining how awkward it was to use the "footpad" and how she preferred the previous ones. Looked closer only to find this lady had taken their mouse off the desk and put it on the floor underneath their desk..... she thought it was the foot control for when they were transcribing dictations Wink She was suitably embarrassed Laughing

Thought this was a good time to throw in pictures of our favourite French News reader.
