Not personally, but I believe it's a reasonably common occurrence (at least in terms of the amount of eBay users that exist).... what happened? |

ivery - normally this happens due to you clicking on a dodgy 'ebay' email etc - do you remember doing this at all? |

I don't doubt for a minute you've tried, but have you attempted to speak to someone from eBay as opposed to email? Likewise with Paypal? Doesn't sound to me like they're taking it very seriously |

Ivery, I've been victim of credit card and bank account identify theft twice and it's not pleasant. Lot's of work, worry and incovenience, so I empathise with you and your predicament. I hope things work out ok mate. Good luck. |

Thanks for the advice ivery. The key point that you quite rightly made is to only open and reply to "ebay" emails using the "My Messages" section within your official "My Ebay", and not from within your personal email inbox. If they're genuine, that's where they'll ALWAYS be found, and, if they're not there, they're obviously fraudulent or "spoofs."

I have an email in my personal emails from what i thought was ebay telling me that my credit card on my paypal account had expired and it also listed the last four digits on my credit card that had expired, i dont have the same message in "my ebay"
