new printer

need some help.

I have bought a new printer and the hardware won't load,

i am running xp and the printer model is an hp deskjet 6940 series.

Why, we have tried it on E computer as well, i have disabled my anti virus as suggested in the manual and still no good.

are all the loading disc's compatible within this series as they have supplied a
6900 series disc?

any ideas ??????? no regrets!

glad you got it sorted - you will find most hardware sits on shelfs for a good few months before being sold, so driver discs are normally out of date from day one

I thought it was me at fault, but if something is not your field then, as a rule, even the simplest of things to some, are taxing to others. Thanks again Kaine, very much appreciated. Thumbs Up no regrets!
