It used to be that if you had a 12 seat safari pre Defender Land Rover then you didn't pay any congestion charge because they considered it to be a minibus but this would appear to be closing that loophole......................... mind you I suspect that what TFL are meaning isn't the brand land Rover but the generic name for all large, older SUV/ 4x4 type vehicles. It's a bit mean including all the SUV's within the M25 though as that means that a lot of folks who keep an old 4x4 just for playing at the weekemd will be paying dearly to drive out of town on a Friday night. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I dont think Ken is targeting 4 x 4's but rather any vehicle that pumps out too much 'crap' into the atmosphere.

I've no problem paying a plollution tax as long as the guy driving the 12 year old skoda pays more than I do

or the guy that drives the London Bus that belches out particulate like there's no tomorrow. Yep, buses, taxis, white vans, MPV's, middle-aged Mondeos, Mini Cooper S's, VW Golf R32's....., etc, etc, but it's always headlined as "gas-guzzling 4x4's" and WE become the pilloried pollution anti-christs who get our cars spat-on or keyed-up.
