Quick price poll (TDv8)

If a dealer offered you a March '07, Black with black (my chosen spec) TDv8, 5k miles, current dealer principle's car, with privacy and steps...

How much should I be paying?

Nope. He's put an offer on the table, which (if you take my part-ex out of the equation) I need to weigh up against getting a brand new one.

IE - what reduction should I be expecting for it being "2nd hand"...

I assume he meant "Read the Flippin' Post" Laughing

It certainly has been used for test drives, as I test drove this exact vehicle myself just last week, albeit accompanied by the dealer.

Provided they're properly warmed up, cars are MEANT to be thrashed (mine are anyway) so I'm not unduly bothered. Besides, its under warranty, and will remain so for the time I intend to own it, so I'm less worried about that.

Consensus seems to be, if I'm offered it at over £3k off list (I'm assuming you good folk are "ignoring" the £1k worth of options, and mean the actual list of the basic car?) then I should buy it...?

Ignore the options - but always fun to tell a dealer what they tell you when you try and sell them a car 'non standard options don't really affect the price!' Laughing 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
