Window Tinting !!!

Is it better to have the RRS tinted upto post b at the factory at new, and then get pentagon autoglass to finish off the drivers/front passenger windows. Or get it all tinted by Pentagon ...any ideas anyone ????

The factory privacy glass is a better job than an aftermarket tint. For example, the diversity aerial is hidden away well with the factory glass, but appears glaringly through aftermarket tint. If you do a search of the forum, people have previously posted side-by-side pics of both.

That said, Pentagon are very well regarded and will do an excellent job of your front windows.

Not many people agree with me here but I think the factory tint is to dark and looks Censored I'd have pentagon to do the lot. Mine was done after and I think looks grrrrrrrrrreat

I like the rear window factory fitted - all I need is some hooligan to etch his name on my current window so that I can claim for a factory tint on insurance! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Is the factory tint midnight rear and light smoke front which in their options LR refer to as privacy glass, or would I have to have additional tinting down to this

Had our rear doors/raer screen done by Pentagon and top class job.

However, I think factory is better JUST TO ANNOY MISERY!!

BTW, have they been approached to be a site sponsor? Missing a trick there me thinks! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

But isn't the factory fit actual dark glass as opposed to a film?

If so, it will surely be more durable/scratch proof.

Pentagon claim 'scratch resistant' but not scratch proof. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
