Have a word with kam100 our resident finance chap - he will get you a better deal than your LR dealer. The way your dealer suggested has its benefits, mostly the fact your monthly payment will be less but obviously you then have a lump sum after the finance period. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

If it is a Land Rover PCP the interest rates they are charging are verging on extortion at the moment, the only reason the salesman is ramming any PCP down your throat is because HE stands to make a bucket load of commission from seeling you the car ona PCP rather than you going outside of the deal to arrange your finance. If the salesman is being that forceful, walk away and find a different source of finance or even a different dealer. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

PM Kam100 - he can at least give you an honest comparison (plus also the best deal you can get)

Hi jasonny
I made the wrong decision to buy my TDV6 outright and soon realised that the car was losing about £500/month in depreciation.... quite depressing!
I've just bought my new TDV8 on a balloon payment and about £600 per month (£500 of that will be depreciation) so, with the money i am now saving by re investing my £37k from the TDV6.... I'M actually better off and have a TDV8 Very Happy
Tim is absolutely spot on, the LR figures were outrageous..
I shopped around and although KAM's quote was fantastic my individual circumstances and figures meant i got a superb deal with a finance guy linked to my wifes company who also has contacts at the Sytner group.
I suggest shopping around and compare, the deals vary hugely...
The guy i used is called John Clarke from a company called SYSCAP. His email address is jclarke@syscap.com  2010 Discovery 4
