Mick

Welcome to the forum - its normal for LR and the RRS - I wouldn't get angry - it wont help

I ordered in May and collected in October - and that was for a TDV6 - the TDV8 has (or did have) some engine supply issues as the FFRR has priority, meaning most Factory order TDV8's have been delayed

Its a tough wait I know, but definetely worth it

Hi Mick..

I ordered mine this week and was told there are no more delays and can expect it by the end of June/July. But there were delays due to being let down by an outside supplier as previously mentioned on the forum.
Just out of interest, for anyone looking to trade their TDV6's in.... I was initially offered £35k for my MY06 against a new TDV8, with the dealer stating they were concerned about the strong values of TDV6's. After a bit of negotiation i got that up to £37k. Which is only £2k from the private ads. 2010 Discovery 4

Hi Mick... like you, I ordered my TDV8 in November for March delivery and a few weeks after ordering was told June. It's still scheduled for mid-June. Buying mine from Marshall's Peterborough.
It's been a long wait but this forum has helped as you share in the joys and tears of members getting their new RRS' MY08 RR Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black; Black Leather; Privacy glass

My TDV8 order is the same. After six months, now told delivery has gone back another month - so yes 7 months. I get the impression someone outside the UK market, and with influence, is pushing in here.

Still, my Morgan took 11 years from the date it was ordered back in 1979 to the day of dellivery in 1990. Perhaps Land Rover are working on the same ethos as the Morgan factory "Create a shortage and even more people will want something they can't have - then we can charge more for them!" Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

I ordered my TDV8 in December and it just arrived at the dealers today. Will be picking it up on Wednesday of next week. They pretty much stuck to the end of May estimate since about mid January.

Hi, Ive just agreed to exchanged our Discovery 3 for a new UK RRS TDV8, in record time, from Portland Autos in Doncaster, we veiwed the TDV8 on Saturday (12 May), agreed the sale on Monday (14 May), and we are collecting the TDV8 on Tuesday (22 May), 11 Days in Total is This a Record Question . The vehicle was registered at the begining of may, and has 51 miles on the clock, and we are the 2nd owner, but who cares. Portland Autos, had 4 TDV8s to choose from.
