I'm interested in this but as I've never used an GAP tool before, I have a few questions.

1) It looks like I need to transfer ownership to myself at a cost of £30?

2) I assume this is a G3 version?

3) I also want to use it on other Land Rovers within the family - do I need to add each and pay for each to use the tool on them? How much does it cost to add an additional vehicle?

Thanks in advance.

Morning

1) Yes, that's correct

2) It's definitely not a G4, doesn't need the adapter but doesn't say G3 on it anywhere.

3) You can add additional licences to the tool. Looking at the website they cost £80 for each additional licence https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/shop/

3) You only need to add an additional licence if modifying the vehicle ccf, if you just want to read codes and live values etc. then no licence needed.

Thank you chaps.

Had a little dig about on the internet and it looks like I'm going to need a G3 for a 2017 RRS and I think yours is an older one as the G3's have G3 printed on the sticker.

I'll give it a miss but thank you anyway and good luck with your sale.

I can't find out anything and as this is a question that may pop up again, I've emailed GAP to find out compatibility.

I bought it in 2017 from someone who'd only had it a year, albeit on a 2012 L320, so I would suspect that it's ok for a L494 from 2017 but best to check.

Will post the reply.

GAP are super helpful but unfortunately my device won't work on a MY2017 L494

So available for anyone with an older car Very Happy
