I have just bought a 2014 L494 HSE which I cannot find DAB+ on the radio, it has DAB 123 But cannot find +, my previous car was a L320 which did have it.
Am I being stupid but I thought a newer model would have it?
If it doesn’t is there a fix?

Your L320 had DAB+?
This was not a factory option, DAB+ was only available with a 3rd-party (yet JLR-approved) DAB tuner replacement (in2Digi). Should have removed it, since this item is a hardware very sought after.
L494s have DAB+ since MY2016 if I remember correctly, however are upgradeable to DAB+ by swapping the DAB module from a later MY to an older car and rescanning the infotainment system with a diagnostic computer to accommodate the new module. Regards etc.,

As far as I know the DAB+ on my L320 was from new, but I still have the car and considering what to do with it due to the fuel pump failure, it is being returned to my home hopefully tomorrow and I will decide whether to sell as spares or repair or to break it.

Pre fault it was an excellent car so I will have a think.

Re DAB + on my replacement car I have in fact found it but the car is back with the dealer as the TPMS is not working or the Stop/Start, I hope to have it back this week as I only bought last Friday. Michael

No DAB+ as a factory option, however in could have been a dealer-installed accessory to replace the original DAB-only hardware. JLR even does provide a chapter on how to install this 3rd-party module in their own L320 workshop manual, so I believe dealers could have been swapping the modules for future proof ones even back then.
