So an overview of the issues…

We bought theRRS 2013 3lt tdv6 2 months ago, it had just passed its mot no advisories, we knew the reversing camera wasn’t working, we did have intermittent parking sensors working, so I put on my Autel MK808 diagnostic machine on, and it came back as “Inner left parking sensor “ so took rear bumper off, and found that yes that sensor was damaged as well as the plastic holder, ordered new sensors fitted it, put it all back together, cleared fault, tried again same result camera not working 6 orange flashes on parking switch.

However it still stayed intermittent with the camera and sensors, removed bumper tried cleaning the contacts on all sensors, checked continuity of loom, couldn’t find a broken wire, refitted everything still same, same fault everythin.
So decided to to buy a second hand wiring loom, checked it all before replacing old loom, still faulty.

So did same with parking module, but before ordering exact replacement I tried a non face lift module a friend had, YWC500313, this triggered no orange flashes on the parking switch and the camera worked every time, just no front or rear sensors, so the module arrived today fitted it, initially everything worked sensors bleeping camera on, off my responsible adult went couple of hours shopping soon as she selected reverse back to no camera, no parking sensors So it just worked that once on the drive.

I’m now at a loss of what to do….

The batter on the car is 12 months old, full charged, it was on our RR vogue 2007, where it gave that car no issues what so ever….drop charge shows battery ok.

Any ideas welcome or suggestions…..
