Do you really want a great lump of iron rolling around inside your new car?
It's funny but reality always takes an age to catch up with the perception.
According to what car, for 2024, "The number of Range Rover Sport models stolen last year was down 47% on the previous year"
You can expect that trend to continue.
This is due to LRs work on improving security, the latest and greatest of which you have in your car from the factory and which LR is rolling out to the older fleet. Our 2019 Discovery Sport is to be updated when I get a chance.
My own is a 2021 which has had all the security updates done. I must admit, just to be sure, I also had a ghost fitted when I picked it up, but I don't really believe it's much of a target any more. The thieves know they're no longer the easy pickings they once were and have moved on to Ford and BMW. This probably explains why, when I was lurking around autotrader last year, thinking about an RRS and i got some what-if insurance quotes, they were 30% higher than what I'm paying having bought one this year. The panic is over.
So in answer to your question, no. They don't steal them by breaking the window, they do it by key cloning - which no longer works and if they can't open the door, they know full well, they can't defeat the other security systems in the car and they walk away. Visual clues like disclocks are of little benefit.
