Strange noise when engine off

Hi everyone, hope you all enjoying the sunshine today.
Right pleasantries over....
Got home today. Usual stuff, engine off,car locked. Before I even opened my garage door the car was emitting high pitched tone not too loud every 15 seconds or so. I've taken a video but don't know how to upload it.
It appears to be coming from below the ns egr valve.
Just can't pinpoint exactly.
Any thoughts ?

The EGRs cycle, I believe, when you switch off in order to prevent them from seizing. This makes the noise. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Ah right. Gotcha. How long do they do this for ?
Infact I have egrs blanked off, so would i be OK to actually unplug the wiring loom ?

Only for a few seconds, I think. Maybe 10-15s.

No idea whether unplugging them from the loom would cause issues. They're not doing any harm by doing their cleaning cycle so why worry? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

This is true,thanks. But since they are capped off are they actually cleaning anything per se.
