40 PSI and still going

Yesterday I was bit lazy to reduce the tire pressure and the terrain was nice for offroading and worth to discover..just turned the terrain program switch to sand and go..40 PSI and still going Thumbs Up low profile with stormer but the contact area is wide enough to destripute the load of 2,5 tons...center diff lock and the rear was stragering to keep the tyres moving through deep sands..I forgot to switch off the DSC switch and still going with A/C load on ..and it's coloer on
no comparison between X5, Q7..that's what I like about land rover the heritage 4x4...my second love is jeep with less electronics less power but also great 4x4 with heritage...the third place is the Mercedes G class wagon with it's 3 diff locks, V8..and solid axles..take you where ever you plan to reach...the UAE 4x4 winners are Nissan Patrol and Land cruiser with all respect. not much fun like range rover sport to drive..
I was always in opinion that a good 4x4 vechile should has:
1. Solid axel all around
2. Part time 4x4 system with manual transmission
3. Low gear
4. Diff locks
5. Lift kit and big tires

I’m not getting no. 1, 3 and 5 in the RRS but it’s flexible independent suspension with variable height
change my mind…so still a good offroad vehicle could be without solid axel and with full time4x4 system, and automatic transmission 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Buckingham Blue, Ivory converted to HST Silver

Hi sportman

I have a Toymota landcruiser and if I were to try to drive it with stormers and road tyres at 40psi I wouldn't get out of the shed.!
If we compare apples to apples here with the same tyres and rims then the RRS (and D3) eat the Japs.

yes I mean low ratio 2.93:1 of additional torque for serious off road terrain
in numbers it will be 2.93 x 550Nm/3500rp = extra TORQUE
and 2.93 x 287kW/5750rpm = extra POWER

bring your calculator to get wonderful results, trust me u will be not disappointed

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

So with it's superior low down torque the TDv8 would be even better in the sand than the S/C? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Actually in the sand you need good acceleration rather that just torque. so the supercharged is the right choice
and for claming and rocky staff you need more torque less acceleration so TDV8 can perform better 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Buckingham Blue, Ivory converted to HST Silver
