My lad had his Toyota Hilux stolen from the street a couple of weeks ago and as the insurance company has coughed up he is looking at another.

My Evoque came with one and it hasn't been stolen yet (desperate search for wood to touch) and I'm quite happy with it.

I have suggested a layered security approach, but I was wondering if they are still regarded as undefeatable by the average thief.

Personal experiences please, not "I heard from a bloke down the pub/facebook..." type reports.

got ghosts fitted to my L494 and the wife's evoque ,it saved my car ,steering wheel was cut in half to remove steering lock [so steering lock not really a deterrent ] but did not get away with car, so yes in my eyes worth it
also wifey cant even move hers when she forgets to put the code in even when she HAS the keys
just got to make it as hard as poss for the scumbaggs

I don't see the point of using the app. It's just looking for a security breach. I was going to put the app on my phone then thought why have a ghost if you just override it. Surely it's not that difficult entering in a few key presses.
