Daytime running light --- GAP tool config

I need to configure my car so that the front sidelights come on when the engine is started. Mine is a 2011 3.0L L320.

Anyone had any clue as to which country's configuration I should be using in the CCF file.

Basically I need to be extra visible to an oncoming car on a B-road.

I think the programs installed allow the dip beam headlights to come on.

from memory
Scanadavian. - When engine running.
Canadian - When Drive gear selected

Scandinavian setting is the one when they come on when you start the engine. Front and rear sidelights + dipped headlights.

Just remember, when you want to use Main beam, you will also have to turn the headlight switch on Sad

Hello,

I'm confused by reading this post?

I have a 2010 Autobiography Sport, will this adjustment through GAP put the angel eyes on permanently when the engine or ignition is on?

I always keep my light rotary switch to AUTO.

I'd like to think I could have the angel eyes on permanently??

Is this possible?

Cheers Dean

Not with the CCF. Possible with a hack to the interior fuse box and connecting the signature LED fuse to a "12V live while engine running" feed. Will not work as DRL, though, as the signature LEDs in 1st gen RRS are pathetically weak. Regards etc.,

If you do a search there was a member who posted instructions and I think some pictures how to do the fuse box mod.

Posted this comment way back about what could be changed in the CCF files.

Have gone into the CCF files and there are three options listed on my car a MY13 A/B 5.0L S/C.

1. DRL Standard
2. Scandinavian
3. Canadian

I activated Standard and all that did was give me two Fault Codes B124A-15 and B124B-15 which are Left and Right Daytime Running Light open Circuit but no working DRL's so it may be when you have either DRL lamp kit VPLSV0064 or 65 fitted you may have to activate this but that is purely a guess. By the way those kit's are over 400.00

"De-activated that and then activated Canadian and what that did was nothing with ignition on and Engine Running, however when you engage Drive and let the Park Brake Off it Switched Front and Rear Side Lights and Dipped Headlights On, as soon as you apply P/B and take it out of Drive It switches them Back Off.

Again De-activated that and Activated Scandinavian and what that did was as soon as you Start Engine it Switched on Front and Rear Sidelights and Dipped Headlights.

There is no facility that I could find to just activate the Front Fairy Lights on there own as DRL's.

I hope that all makes some kind of sense."

Cheers
Col
