Sorry for the late update.

Well, funnily enough, its been starting fine, up until last week.

I've had another couple of instances of the dreaded 'click' and then starting on the next try.

I have checked the battery connections, all ok, infact I had the connectors off to do a hard reset on the car whilst working with an issue I had with Patrick from GAP.

I just watched a video regarding a similar issue with a L322 4.4 TDV8, Sam stripped the solenoid and found that one of the contacts was heavily pitted due to arcing. He cleaned the contacts, recreated the rough surface on them using a hacksaw and file. This seemed to have solved the issue, but I guess time will tell.



But, some of you guys have replaced the starter with a new one and the issue still occurs.

It's a strange one, to say the least.
