New Range too expensive

Hello,

After 10 years driving 1st and 2nd generation Range Sport V8SC, I will probably not buy the 3rd generation, because of its price increase. Indeed, the V8 is now about 100k€ more expensive! (at least in Switzerland). I tested the 3rd generation, it is better than the previous one, but not 100k better…

It seems obvious to me that Land Rover will have much fewer sales, does not make sense to me….

They've been driving the brand ever more towards luxury / exclusivity for years now. And that means the price is going up along with it.

What's going to hit JLR hard in the UK is the insurance issue. The cost of that is driving people away from the brand.

The good news is that if one is happy to buy second hand, there will be ever more examples available and they will be cheaper too. So a win-win for us. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
