Touch Pro Duo / Apple Carplay

Hi I have a question re Apple Car Play in 2019 RRS - my experience is that there is no support for touch gestures on the screen in eg google maps - not even a single finger pan capability. Previous car did support pan but not pinch etc. Just wanted to be sure this is a characteristic of the system as opposed to a fault.

Anyone able to confirm intended behaviour?
