Electrics DIES completely

Hi guys, it's been a couple of months since my 2012 RRS sdv6 behaved a bit weird. It started by resetting the time and date now and then, and also by itself during the night (it sleeps in a warm garage).
Recently, after a small stop along the road, it didn't open the doors as if was completely dead. No response, no lights, no nothing. After a couple of minutes, it came back to life, lit up, and all electrics working, apart from time and date annoyingly reset.
Then, to make things more interesting, it started to behave crazy when pressing the engine button to kill the engine. As soon as I press the button the engine stops immediately like something blocked it and at the very same moment, all the electrics shut down. Also, the gear's rotary knob does not go fully inside and it remains halfway. It remains like that until I press the open key button after half a minute, and then it lights back up as if nothing happened. Now, before I set fire to it should this happen while driving, has someone experienced the same issue and, if so, how did he resolve it? Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for replying.
Nope, I didn't check it. I booked the car with my mechanic end of this week to read codes and check the battery and alternator although I'm not optimistic about an easy fix.

some of the symptoms sound like a corroded battery terminal. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Thanks, I'll check it out even if I looked at the contacts a month ago and they seemed very clean. Some doubts haunted me after the last maintenance the car went through last July, when the oil level sensor was replaced and half of the car's front end was removed, including the oil pan and starter motor. Could it be that the creative mechanic forgot to tighten up the engine ground connections? It's the only thing I can think about since the weird thing started to happen. I say so because on that occasion I asked the guy to replace the sway bar links, which he did, but left them loose on the four bolts leading me to find a garage to fix them after 1200 km of suspension noise when on holidays. It was a nightmare to find a mechanic, in August, down here in Italy, that had willing to deal with a Land Rover this big. Anyway, I'll give it a check, thank you!
