Hi all,

when I bought the car in 2019 I had the new oil pump fitted (OEM). In June of this year the car developed an oil leak from the crank case front seal. It got changed to a genuine seal with new oil separator and the timing belts done.
Now just four months later the leak is back. This time its the oil pump leaking. The garage is going to fix this but making me question having the seal and then the pump go so close together...what's the likelyhood of high crank case pressure and a soon dead engine?

Just updating on this. The oil pump was replaced and found to be a cheap Chinese (not so great one). The garage changed this for a better one. After driving the car for ~20 min to get it home then an hour drive this morning. I can see more oil on passenger side front under the car.
At this point I'm unsure if having the work done will have caused a little oil to trickle down afterwards or if something else is going on.
With the timing belt changes needed I'm down £2,000 after doing the crank case seal and then the oil pump separately. Not sure if I should persist and keep looking or just accept the leak... 2005 2.7 tdv6 RRS Vin 6A

People are just nuts to use anything other than an original LR, Ford or Citroen oil pump. Then cry when their engines fail prematurely. There are a few upgrades on the original oil pumps which are not found on the copies.
