I recently had a rear tyre fail my MOT (cut in tread), so replaced both tyres. My preferred supplier only had Pirelli Scorpion Zeros available so went with this. My first thought is how quiet they are compared to the worn (35k miles) Verde. Granted this could be age related but I will probably go Zeros on the front when they need changing (fronts were replaced at 25k - again due to a cut in one). Cut in the rubber ....if it did not expose the cords how did it fail ? Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Regarding noise, there's a stretch of the M5 southbound between J4 and 4A (only about a mile or so) where there are big variations in the road surface. I can go from almost total silence to a significant roar and back again in seconds.

Scorpion zeros - best tyres Ive ever had, especially for a big low profile wheel.

Pirelli Scorpion for me too, designed specifically for the Range Rover, and head and shoulders above everything else for mainly road use, although apparently it's not too bad off road either.

Thanks to all for input. Pirelli Scorpion Zero it is. Ordered, fitting next Tuesday. National was best price by a fair bit, after their 15% discount its £833 for four. Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e |

Or "buy cheap, buy twice" as is often quoted. Cheap tyres are a false economy unless one values a few quid over ones safety. And, yes, premium tyres do perform better than cheap Chinese ditch-finders. https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/Are-Bu...m-Tyre.htm Having never lived in Australia, I don't have to worry about what tyres they have available. I can choose decent tyres and benefit from their better performance in critical situations. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Just added a 4 wheel alignment to my tyre order. £74.99 but reduced 50% to £37.49 with Code DV616.
