Hi,

I'm new to the group and really hope someone can help with my issue.

My car was ticking over, big ploom of white chalky dust come out of the exhaust pipes. Turned it off for 5 mins started with restricted performance warning. Turned off and left for about an hour, started, no warning lights, performance seem fine although a bit frighted to push it hard.

My mechanic come up with all sorts of possible issues but said he wasn't an expert with RRs and should seek some advice.

As anyone else had any issues like this. All help would be very much appreciated. I've attached some photo. Also, no smoking from the exhaust at all, the car has a full service history from new its done 89k miles.

I've never seen such a thing and it's quite strange. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

As suggested it's probably the ceramic in the cat breaking up.
