3.6 TDV8 Engine oil

Hi folks,

Sorry, just a quick question regarding 3.6 engine oil. Would Quantum Synta-Z 5w30 be ok to use. Its the correct spec, I only ask as I know Disco Mikey has recommended Quantum Synta C1 but wasn't sure about Synta-Z

The only oil I can get around here is Castrol Edge Professional C1 5W-30 which has approval to STJLR035005 and only in 20l containers. We don't get any of those fancy oils such as Quantum Syntra here.

I guess most people here don't do their own oil changes to their RRS or just chuck in any old 5W-30 oil.

Quantum is basically VW's own brand of oil in the UK made for them by Fuchs. Quantum is trademarked in the UK to VW UK. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
