2006 4.2 upper tailgate

how easy it it access the upper tail gate switch soft closes works fine but top part has stopped working did have a issue last week with tailgate open on dash and the top part kept opening it self now it stopped and can't open it
bottom part works fine

thanks I'll check them tomorrow did have a issue where it kept opening it self but it stopped and now top part won't open

Mine wouldn't open when I bought it, turned out to be the switch common failure point.

Did you end up getting a wiring diagram of the rear door or switch to diagnose it?

Nope just replaced with a new switch job done think it was 2 of the first little jobs I did on it
