Range Rover sport l320 passenger heated seat not working

Hi there,
I bought a V6 2.6 RRS 2005 recently. The front passenger heated seats is not working nor the light on the dashboard is turning on. Driver side works great (lights + heating) but the other side doesn't.
I am trying to troubleshoot the issue and understand what the fix could be. My understanding is that since one side is working then it's not a fuse issue.
Any advice on what could be the issue and how to resolve it?

Thank you,

Read fault codes if you have a tool.

Could be temperature sensor in seat as light not coming on.

It could be that the element has burnt out. The seat base and the seat back elements are in series so if one fails they both fail. In that age of vehicle, a burnt out element isn't out of the question.

Also worth checking the connector under the seat - if the element was on its way out, it gets a local very hot spot which can be very hot. Someone might have unplugged it to prevent an accident.

Thanks! Will do that. Although the garage guy said that this won't show in the log.

Thanks! Will need some skills to take the seats off and look at the elements. Do you think I can connect the two elements on the seating area on their own if the element of the back seat is the issue?

If it is a burnt out element, they're not too bad to do. When I had one go, I got the bits and had my indie do the work replacing them. I got a base (mine was cracked for some reason), a new foam pad and the heating element. They just charged me a bit of labour. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
