Heated front window screen

Merry Xmas all

RRS HSE 2010 and brought few months back. In these cold months I’ve noticed the heated front window screen is on about 60-70% effective as some parts of the window remain frosted and don’t de-mist. Assume maybe original window from 2010 and some of the elements built in are not working.

If I happen to see a crack in the window and claimed a new window replacement by my car Insurwnce then a new window replace by (example AutoGlass) would sold this issue ?

Easy but effective yeah ?

It’s not uncommon for these to not clear perfectly.
The fact it works all you should be grateful for.

Auto glass fit Chinese replacement screens and they could introduce leaks. You pay an excess to have it done too £90 ?

So unless it’s right in your eye line, I would leave it until it gets worse

Will the rain sensor work as well as it did before is another Q

Wow, that’s horrendous. I’d be getting that fixed under warranty. Or find a rock on the road Wink 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

This is definitely not how it should work. I have the same screen, never seen anything like this! Rock on the screen sounds like a good idea; my screen has been replaced also once; mind it, the front sensors behind mirror (adaptive CC?) has to be re-calibrated.
