BIK Rates

Hi All

Been lingering on this forum for a few months since placing an order on July 1st for a P440e.

I didn’t much fancy the standard wheels so upgraded to 22” however I noticed someone suggesting recently, perhaps on here, that the upgrade could knock the benefit in kind (BIK) rate into the next bracket, 8% as opposed to 5%.

It makes some sense since the ev range must be 70 or above for 5% however I cannot find any information to confirm or deny the change in ev range as a result of the wheel upgrade. Paperwork from the dealer suggests 5% BIK but with a disclaimer. I’ve asked the question with the dealer but no response.

If this was the case then I would likely take the standard wheels, save on the upgrade and save on the BIK and put some aftermarket ones on more to my liking.

Thanks

The configuration has to show the wltp range with all the added options been playing about with this too. Dynamic SE with larger wheels still gives an official wltp of 70 miles so you are OK for 5%, an autobiography drops to 69 miles wltp so goes up to 8%.

Other option is order standard wheels then upgrade to 22 after delivery.

Long time lurker, just sold my L460 AB to get a company funded Sport Hybrid instead.
I've just ordered a P440e AB with 22" wheels, I asked the dealer about these BIK restrictions, they didn't have a clue so I'm glad to have picked up this info on here.
My ordered AB is showing 69 as the ev range on the config which makes it 8% as stated above so now I need to amend the order and go with 21's.

Forums like this one are so useful, maybe the dealers can learn a few things from them.

I wanted a spare wheel (full size) and had to go for 20 inch wheels (down from standard 21) to keep range at 70 miles / bik at 5%

For the avoidance of doubt I am perfectly happy with the smaller wheels

Useful information, the configurator is definitely helpful.
My dealer has come back to me and believes this is correct, my order is still 5%, but is going to confirm with LR.

I’ll update this thread when I receive confirmation.
