Will do, nope not the upgraded lights as the standard are brilliant as it is.

Only extra I had was privacy and ventilated seats, which was the reason the delivery came so quickly. I have a fully spec’d up D5 and use hardly any of the extras, so decided not to bother which also kept the price down. Win win.

Congratulations Milky .
Car looks great you must be well chuffed and now worth all the wait.
By the way what was the actual spec SE or Dynamic SE .-Hybrid / Petrol / Diesel?
Send over more shots when you unwrap.
Happy Days

Yep we’ll chuffed, it all come a little soon.

It’s dynamic SE hybrid. We do a lot of short trips so will mostly be run as in electric, and hybrid on the longer trips some abroad.

Will be charging for free nearly three seasons of the year via our solar array but also have a night tarrif at 9p per kWh instead of standard 38p per kWh. We also have a large house battery so car and battery can charge over night during the colder months.

Wasn’t sure about white, as had planned to change the colour before locking the build slot, but dealer wasn’t told by JLR that it was Locked (that’s another story) but I actually really like it now especially with the boy racer red callipers…. 😂

Milky ,
I believe you may be one very lucky owner.
I heard from 2 sources this week that most production lines are halted -including RRS .
With a comment that production may not be back on stream — until new year !
For mine and all other future owners sake — I only hope this is untrue .
Any other comments or news would be much appreciated.

That looks brilliant Milky, many congratulations. When is collection day?

I have not seen a white one yet, it works quite well.

Were the red calipers an option you selected? Mine are black!

Also, on the lights. I have the standard lights too. Which are great as you say. However, I am slightly miffed that the lights don't corner when at slow speed on a quiet road. I looked on the configurator yesterday and apparently they do corner at high speed, but I haven't noticed it yet! Would be interested to hear how you get on.

Like you, a lot of our journeys have been on electric, it is a lovely experience.

Awesome - congrats - looks stunning. My dealer told me the same, no prior warning before car goes into build...thankfully changed my colour from Firenze to Varesine last week.

Apparently, they are randomly picking orders based on what they can build., etc MY23, 3.0 P440e PHEV AB, Carparthian Grey, Deep Garnett interior
MY16, 3.0D HSE Dynamic, Barola Black, TV, Rear Entertainment, Opening Pan Roof, Meridian

So collected this morning and I’m blown away. This is only the basic p440e dynamic spec with privacy and vented seats, but boy it impressive.

Admit I have done hardly any miles yet but so far I am extremely impressed..

- It’s eerily quiet even with the engine running and no noise cancelling.

- The basic stereo is actually very good and suits most of my needs

- The comfort… wow….. it’s dangerously comfortable and I haven’t even got comfy yet.

- All electric mode is brilliant, more than what’s needed for you average driver. My journey home was city and country roads and it was amazing.

- rear leg room brilliant, and perfectly comfortable for a fully grown man/women

- The tech knocks spots off of the older system in the MY20 Disco… responsive, intuitive, and pin point sharpness

- 3D surround cameras awesome, better than the D5 but have come across these before so knew what to expect.

- White looks far far better than I expected and goes really well with the copper bits.

I could go on

Negatives
- As reported elsewhere the fuel and electric filler cap alignment is shocking, but panels overall great except one point on the rear bumper

- boot space is a problem for me coming from the cavernous D5, but that’s something I need to deal with. And I knew it would be and issue

- Strange one, but where i normally have the steering wheel positioned blocks part of the screen, guess this is partly down to the smaller steering wheel compared to the rather large ship wheel in the D5.

But that is really all I can think of at the moment. It is a really quite exceptional piece of kit and I can only hope it proves to be reliable like the Velar and unlike the D5 I have just chopped In (which was all related to the infortainment)

I am one of the lucky ones, and although it wasn’t my desired colour I am extremely pleased with this machine.

What does "dangerously comfortable" mean? Shocked Question 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Congrats on the new car - It's good to hear that initial impressions are positive.

I wonder what's going on with the fuel filler caps on these - the one I took a test drive in last week was the same, and there have been other reports too.

Glad you like the car.

The fuel flaps do look awful I expect there is a fault with the press tool or someone thought using the same cover for all RR's would work without realising the rear quarter panel profiles were different. My guess is that it won't get properly sorted until someone wakes up and fixes the press tool.

I'm a lover of the copper accents too. So much so, that I am thinking of getting 2 sets of the RANGE ROVER letters off a RR Evoque AB and swapping mine when my RRS AB arrives some time next millennium.

Anyone reason why not and is anyone else of the same persuasion?
