This was concerning news for the RRS 440e..
Maybe another reason to wait while the initial glitches are fixed .

Land Rover doing their reputation for reliability no harm, again. You'd think they could make a new car that worked properly. especially when they use the same bits and pieces in several different vehicles in their range. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

So disappointed to see this yet again.
However I am now pleased not to be getting an early car .
Hopefully this will be resolved by 6 months time .

Its pathetic really. Do they not have a f***ing quality control section???
How can any organisation sell anything at these price levels without checking the f***ing things properly.

Hearing this sort of thing is making me think twice about the opportunity I have (getting to the crunch stage on the finance) in getting a car at the end of January. 440e AB.

They get away with it because people like us love our Land Rovers and keep coming back to them, I have done it many times my self, really we all know there quality is far from good, but to be fair, a lot of new cars with all this high tech built into them have there problems as well. When I first saw JLR going into the Electric world I did think this is going to be a whole new headache for people, and what will they be like down the road in a few years time when all the warranty’s are out.

If you are going to sell to the public you make sure its right.
I've heard of stupid issues like the petrol shutters not closing square ffs.
Like I said, when at this price point you make sure the relevant checks are happening.

One thing I will say is that I have had 6 over the years, including 2 SVR's and have never had any issues. Apart from the irritating creaking i have over my head currently!
