P510e

I went to the launch even at Cheltenham last night intending only to have a proper look at the new car and ended up putting down the deposit on a P510e. The salesman was obviously being super optimistic quoting a 9 to 12 month wait, the rest of the guys including the 2 Land Rover bods said 12 to 18 months and it sounds like that’s the more realistic timescale.

With the Defender and full size waits now up to 2 years you’re left in a position where if you don’t order now then you are looking latter half of 2024 to get a new car which is bonkers and kind of makes the decision for you.

Out of interest why did you decide on the P510e, I'm just sorting out an order for the P440e and came to the conclusion that the minimal extra power (.2secs faster?) wasn't worth the extra cost?

The 510e has rear wheel steer which reduces the turning circle. I went for it for the power and that. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

Is that the massive .2secs (0-60) extra power? Or have I got that wrong?!

Out of interest what sort of wait time can I expect on the 440e? I deal through Sytner RR (Knutsford) and still waiting for them to confirm.

When I placed my order a few weeks back I was told 12 months minimum. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

That 0.2 secs is very important

After 3 years of ownership I may have saved an hour of my life Laughing

I placed my order at an event in July and my dealer says I will get it 1st September next year (which is when I wanted it) as they think things are slowly improving???? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

A 12 month plus delivery time tells me they aren't improving!
That's true about that extra hour Smile

Rear steer seems to me to be a great option to have. The FFRR gets it across the range, of course, but with vehicles as big as these, it ought to be available throughout the RRS range too. Perhaps it will be in a couple of years when they do the model refresh.

One of the things I like about the original L320 is that it has a great turning circle - better than the L494 that replaced it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Has anyone come across Barugzai? (body kits)
