Broken engine. Do Citroen / Peugeot engine fits?

Hello, I have a RRS 2011, 3.0 diesel. I've had it for 2 years and now I'm on my second broken engine . The current mechanic says I'm looking for a Peugeot 407 or Citroen c5 / c6 3.0 241 hp engine. He says changes are being made, but the engine fits, being the same. What do you think? Can a Peugeot / Citroen engine be installed? If so, are they attached to them or are the Rover range attachments kept? Thanks

Well the 2.7 french versions aren’t comparable as the bolt holes to the gearbox housing are different

Look for Jaguar XF if available
