So sorting out the first problem on my newly acquired 2012 Autobiography has provided a new issue. The strut bracket on the body had bent backwards causing the strut to rub against the bracket causing the strut to pop off the bracket every 4/5th time the tailgate was opened. I acquired a replacement strut off ebay (AP Premium) and fitted it whilst i waited for the new brackets to arrive (from Lithuania - non available in UK!). Everything worked fine, then I replaced the bracket a couple of days later and it wouldn't close on the button and hasn't since. Tried the tailgate height setting procedure, keeping the close button pressed to set and no chime.

Seems a coincidence it stopped working when I changed the bracket, but....

The tailgate powers open on keyfob, internal switch and tailgate release and I think there is only one fuse for the system so faulty switch or control module?

Any ideas how I test both?
