Rear light condensation

I have noticed some condensation that won’t go away, rear light on my 2015 RRS. Anyone know how to get rid of it or is it time to buy a new light? [/s] 2015 RRS SDV6 HSE Grey

I used a hairdryer on mine last year on not too hot a setting. I held it close to the lens and was sure not to hold it in one place for too long. I did 5 or 6 sessions of around 15mins each over 2 days. Not had any condensation in there since. Barrie.

Isn’t it in the manual that says to expect this, so actually normal. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Might be what you did anyway but just to be belt and braces, take the light unit out and remove the bulbs before using the hairdryer so that the condensation can escape.

Condensation is normal. The light units are vented and so you can get some damp air in them at times. It goes away with time. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It has been there for months now and although the moisture has (mostly) gone it has left a white/cloudy stain inside. 2015 RRS SDV6 HSE Grey

Thanks, looks like I’m replacing them. Very poor design if that’s the case. 2015 RRS SDV6 HSE Grey
