2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Chawton White

2011 3.0 v6 sport engine ticking

I've got a range rover sport 2011 model 3 0 v6 engine, it's developed a ticking noise recently that go's with the rpm but above 2000 ish rpm you can't hear it! I've used a long bar againt the engine at different areas & it definitely is loudest at passenger side near the injectors does anyone have any ideas? I'm pretty certain it's not bottom end. Thanks

2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Hi my sport has it too, everytime I do an oil change it goes away for about 100 km maybe then it comes back. Am guessing it's from poor maintainance by the previous owners. Atleast on my vehicle it is.
