United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
New turbo issue.

Hi everyone...

After some more advice if possible....

So after my last post, the garage has changed the Turbo, turbo pipe and inlet manifold, however it is now doing something the garage hasn't ever seen.

It seems to be blowing back into the airbox rather than sucking... has anyone ever experienced this before? Any idea why it would happen? The turbo people have asked us to take it off and send it back to them for them to test it, but my garage (understandably) want to be paid to remove it again which will be another £400.... the turbo company have said they will pay towards the cost if they do find a fault but I'm pretty sure they will just say they didn't find a fault so they don't have to pay anything towards it, but obviously I'll have no proof and will be left with another bill. The old turbo also had to be sent back to them so I'm not sure where I would stand with buying another one and then still having my old one....

Any advice would be appreciated

Portugal 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

A friend of mine had this on his car - NOT a RRS. The main issue was the length of the connecting rod under a lock nut. Mechanic had lined up the threads without taking that into account till they noticed the new actuator had a slightly shorter rod. Pulled it off the car and lined them up identically which solved the problem.

May not be the same but it's the only other occasion I've heard of it.

Let us know how it goes. Barrie.
