2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

RR Supercharged Clunking Noise

I recently purchased a 2006 RR Supercharged but on delivery I noticed the engine was making a knocking sound. I took the vehicle for a drive round the block and the noise got louder and louder. I will try and attach a short video. The noise sounds like its coming from the lower half of the engine. Any ideas

You mention "delivery" so i assume you bought remote without viewing, this is covered under the distance selling regulations.
You have 14 days to reject the car, do not use the car, take a photo of the mileage.

As said by others, hand it back. Tell them you expect them to fix it. If they fail to fix it, demand a refund. No ifs, buts, maybes.

Unless, of course, it's a private sale in which case you're screwed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hey Guys, I have just come back from holiday and seen your posts. Thank you so much.

Back to the matter. I took my car to a reputable range rover specialist who diagnosed the problem for me. The knocking sound was the ace pump (hydraulic active suspension pump). The bearings had worn out which caused the spinning part to drop causing the knocking sound.. thank god it wasn't a damaged engine so as you can imagine I'm over the moon. However I need some advice. What would you say is a reasonable price to fit an ace pump? I purchased the part
