Should I be worried about this service history?

I live in Iceland, where there is a limited supply/choice of used Range Rover Sports (in addition to them being very expensive due to import etc).

Right now, there's one which has all the options I want, however the service history concerns me and I was hoping to find out whether this should make me run away from it or if I'm worrying about nothing.

According to landrover.is, the maintenance schedule is every 12 months or 15,000km (whichever comes first).

According to osh.landrover.com, when I look the car up by VIN, under Servicing Information, it only lists the following service types:

- 34000km / 24 Months
- 68000km / 48 Months
- 102000km / 72 Months
- 136000km / 96 Months
- 170000km / 120 Months

The actual history for the car shows:

10/9/2019 - 19km - Pre-Delivery Inspection
23/9/2019 - 19km - New/used Preperation for Sale (also the warranty start date)
13/8/2020 - 21406km - Oil/Filter Chance, Electronic Vehicle Health Check
24/8/2021 - 43902km - 34000km / 24 Months Service (with oil changed as well as oil/pollen/engine air filters).

The new car warranty is 3 Years / 100,000km here, so I'd have around 10 months left (although I'm also worried they may decline warranty coverage due to the maintenance schedule not being followed).

I'm concerned that the lack of regular servicing could potentially lead to engine issues etc down the line, after the warranty runs out. Am I being paranoid? Is it likely fine as long as I maintain it properly (if I were to buy it), or should I not even consider it?

Thanks in advance!

From what I found, the service interval for Iceland is 12 months or 26000km, which puts the one you've listed well within Land Rovers service schedule.

I know what you are saying, but one thing I never like with cars is long gaps between oil changes. It'll be very expensive to fix if the worst happens.

I guess it comes down to how much you are spending on it. If it's cheap, then it's not much of a risk, but if you are blowing 5 years savings on it, then maybe think again. Look at it like it was your mate thinking about it, and ask what advice would I give him?

I think that is wrong, 15,000km is only around 9000mls. bit over the top, I think that should be 15000mls or 24000Kms.

Admittedly this info is a little old now but.

Cheers

It's definitely not cheap.. equivalent of around £79k (new price here is around £105k).

The real issue is lack of availability. There are maybe 4 or 5 available right now and the rest are missing key options that I want.

Thanks for the advice, definitely something to think about.

I'm going to call the LR Dealer tomorrow and clarify (they aren't open at the weekend).

If this is correct, this car falls within that. Thanks.
