I tried the cruise control yesterday and it wasn't working an error displayed on the dash "Cruise not Available" can anyone point me in the direction what this could be or has seen this error before?

If the vehicle has been damaged, or has been put together to make it look like something else, it might not have been put together properly. If it is supposed to have adaptive cruise control, then the radar may not be present, or it's not aligned correctly, or it was damaged and not replaced. The sensor was not a cheap part back in the day although the bay of thieves may have cheap second hand units these days. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If it is a RRS1 pre-facelift with the A/B facelift front fitted I'm sure there is a new mounting bracket required to reposition the Radar unit to suit the new bumper, might be worth checking to see if that has been fitted.

Cheers

Hi All,

Quick question, the previous owner lost the service history for the RRS. Is there anyway to retrieve this from a database somehow considering it’s a 2008?

Some updates to provide:

- EGR deleted
- Remapped to 300 bhp

Really has made a change, the car is running much smoothly and the mid range punch is superb.

Next things to do:

- Gearbox oil and filter change
- New tyres and 4 Wheel alignment
- New rear stabilisers as there is a knocking sound going over uneven surface
- New service (for my own peace of mind)
- Cruise is still not working therefore looking at possible after market kit (if possible) as fixing the existing system is looking to be very expensive

Happy New Year everyone!!

Naz
