Hi folks.

I seem to have a problem with our recently acquired RRS.

The front left seat plus both rear seats heating are not working. The front right works perfectly.
I've checked the settings on the centre screen and all looks OK.

I will start checking fuses, but, if any members have any help please let me know.

I don't fancy going back to the place I bought it from as it's 200 miles away.

Normally the heating pad has a break in the wire, if there is current to the terminal, you have a faulty pad.

I imagine that would necessitate a new pad, or 3 as it happens.

A bit of an update.

One of the fuses, the one for the rear seats, had blown. I changed it and now have the righthand rear seat working, the front and rear left still don't work.
So, I'm guessing it will have to go to an Indy in Cheshire when we can get over there for a good check out.
At least my wife and daughter can sit on the warm side. A Cheshire expat in France.

Do you have current ( 12v ) to the element?

I haven't checked as yet. The car is new to me and I'm not too savvy on it's layout so far. I've got the workshop manual but they are definitely not as easy to follow as they were when I was a youngster.

I presume it's a case of unbolting the seats to get to the connectors for a look see.

If you know of a short cut, I'm all ears!

If it's the pads, are they easy or difficult to swap. Mine also has the seat back heaters.

Just another update. The fuse for the rear has blown again.
I'm going to call it quits and get a sparky to check it out. A Cheshire expat in France.
