Hi Guys. I've just bought the new shape 3ltr Range rover sport. on a 14 plate. Has anyone else found that if you put your foot down hard? The car seems to bog down. You know..When needing to get a move on, at a busy roundabout.
I had this with my previous Freelander 2. Never did cure that. Any ideas, please.

It was a carry over from the original RRS, which also do the same thing. I believe there was a software fix for it in the L494, certainly later L494s don't suffer it to the same degree so far I know. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Is the software fix free ?

Roundabout roulette mine's a l320, I just put it in neutral then back into drive. If it ain't broken down it soon will

Think I see a pattern here

Try a transmission reset?

1) Press Start button but don't turn on the engine.
2) Press the Accelerator down to the floor for about 15 seconds.
3) Hit the start button again to turn off the power.
4) Remove foot from Accelerator
5) Wait for 2 Mins.
6) Start the engine and Drive.


And on that first drive, be a bit aggressive so that the shift patterns are quick --

Its because they pull away in 2nd gear. Either use the paddles or put it in Sport Range Rover Sport: Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S

Ahh... the old suicide hesitation!

Yep mine does that, though I've been driving it that long my reflexes are accustomed to it, and when it happens I am quicker to push the peddle down quicker.
I do wonder if it's the software trying to guess if you are inching up to a big rock, or something, so reduces the throttle response.

Basically you look like a right a**e to others on the round-a-bout / junction, as if there is a nice gap that you want to move into, you appear to do nothing, then just as the gap is closing you launch yourself out like a missile, at the point where you are likely to annoy the car closing the gap! It can be all a bit embarrassing, and I blame some of the RRS reputation of being driven by a******s" on it

Ah yes .. that suicide pause once saw me light up all four tyres coming out of a T junction like some kind of rally wannabe right in front of a gaggle of cyclists.

I think some of it is to not out too much strain on the crank. We all know that the crank shafts on these motors are not the best design
