United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue
off-roading

Hello Chaps,

So let’s find out how many of us do or drive off-road….It’s not necessary that u take ur RRS off-road let’s talk in general
Where do u usually go?
What type of terrain u like to drive in? (sandy, muddy, snow or rocky)
Who u always take with u? (family, friends, girl friend or dog) ?
Did u ever get stuck?
Did u ever get lost?

So let’s start

I usually like to go to deep sands duns terrain with friends , I got stock many times never by RRS…we got lost once we found our self near to the neighbor country border. very close to oil rig

Do not go totally mad check out my gallery, Rangie who has a very nice RRS and moi managed to do some trails, water and Rock Crawling at Lithgow national Forest. There are also some good runs out of Sydney towards St Albans, on unsealed roads, on some pretty narrow tracks, where it is quite fun and hairy at times, in particular with the big drops just off the road, always use the Grass/Gravel mode to loosen up the brakes. Never got stuck, then again it has not really been challenged to that degree, vehicle is stock standard, and seems to cope well with what it as seen so far. I aim to do some sand dunes / beach driving near Port Stephens in the very near future.. its a magnet for sand driving in Central Coast NSW Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I used to do a lot of off roading, using my L/R90 for the rough stuff and the L/R 110 for the light stuff

Quarries, excellent changelling hills, deep water, MUD

Green laning out in the country, MUD, deep ruts, deep water, love deep water

Always take friends, apart from the time my brother came and got his arse wet in some deep water(not impressed) missus hates going off roading

Quite often get stuck, thats part of the fun and often break things, that's not so much fun

Would love to play on some dunes in the sport, you lucky sods

Very rarely get lost, except in a snow storm a few years ago on top of a place called the Long Mynd, where the snow had completely covered all traces of the tracks and we got stuck for about four hours, it was about -18 wind chill, we got a flat tyre as well(we started to get a bit worried) another group of 4x4's found us in the end, but we did lose one land rover in a snowdrift, where it stayed until it could be recovered a few days later, we dont seem to get that much snow anymore

not enough time now to go off roading, apart from twice a day when i drive down my long rough drive at home in the RRS, but that doesn't really count, or does it some of my Previous cars

Yes did you tell them about that little EXPENSIVE trip. Deep water, know it all, clever sod driver, bent con rod, towed by Disco, then driven 35 miles back home on three cylinders and loads of smoke....

Yes tell us all how clever you are Whistle Rolling Eyes MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Embarassed Embarassed never mentioned being clever, me I'm an idiot, and yes it cost me the best part of a grand to get it sorted, the moral to that is check the snorkel connections before getting into deep water, it only takes a small hole or loose connection to f Censored k up the engine Embarassed Embarassed some of my Previous cars
